Drug Prevention

In a commercialized socio economic environment the many challenges include the abuse of drugs & HIV/AIDS which is closely associated with the lack of employment and vision oriented future aspirations among youth population. Our association having identified these risk factors is committed to promoting prevention responses for the establishing of a conducive environment for protecting the younger generations of Sri Lanka from succumbing to negative behaviors. Accordingly our activities focus on empowering populations for the facing of life transitions in a positive & healthy manner whilst learning to pursue an objective oriented life. Through the years the goal of the organization for uplifting the community and establishing economic sustainability, through responses without racial & gender prejudices for guiding of youth to a life style of productivity, away from drugs and other anti social behaviors, is been achieved surely & steadily. It is with much appreciation that we acknowledge the numerous support and corporation received for the furtherance of our activities by those who assisted the SLANA fund raising efforts and the other community and private sector well wishes. The commitment and guidance received by the President and the board of making our prevention efforts a success has been in-valuable. In spite on the contemporary social and economic upheavals, SLANA will continue its prevention activities in the future and in the past with determination to create a better tomorrow for Sri Lanka.
