Sri Lanka Anti Narcotics Association - SLANA

The Sri Lanka Anti Narcotics Association (SLANA) an NGO in Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (ECOSOC), is a private non-profit membership organization registered with the Department of Social Services. It is approved by the Cabinet of Ministers and Gazetted by the Hon. Minister of Finance as a Charity under the Tax Laws of Sri Lanka. The Membership of SLANA, which forms the organizational backbone, provides a direct link to local communities, and is a key resource in the fight against Drug Abuse and for the development of human resources. SLANA believes that an informed public is the Nations best defense against Drug Abuse aAnd is working on that concept. Therefore SLANA mobilizes the community through national events, such as the National Health Run, Job Fairs, and educate public through Workshops, Audio-Visual Presentations, and Seminars for building Life Skills.
